Seaplanes are probably the most romantic aircraft in existence. We all pretty much picture the same things when we think about them, a Grumman Goose water taxiing into Catalina Harbor, a DeHavilland Beaver beached on the shore of a small lake in Alaska, or a old Sikorsky droning over the Hawaiian islands. They are the essence of vintage air travel. Like the helicopter, they add a new world to the aviators vocabulary.
